Control analysis of a bi-motor electric traction system for energy and performance optimization

Developing multi-motor solutions for electric vehicles becomes an opportunity in order to reduce the size of each motor, approach mechanical energy production wheels and provide performance optimization. For a given situation, e-drive calculation has cover vehicle operational area defined by requested driving cycle. By applying harmonized test procedure with representative testing cycle data, results can be confirmed firstly using numerical simulation. A single motor solution could developed all needs specialised transmissions. involving more motors allows independent control on axles or wheel, challenge preserve stability when offering better efficiency. It represents performance, controllable less consumption combined solution. This paper presents analysis two acting parallel answering vehicle’s coverage.
